Week 1 period 7 Lauren Gibbs

Blog post 1
My proposal is to see what I can learn to cook with different kinds of foods. Something that helped me move forward was to explore different kinds of foods and see what kinds of things can be replaced to make the same meal.
Something that can go wrong is the burning of the food or not having it come out with right taste. For example replacing meats with different kinds like a steak taco or a chicken taco that replaced taco meat and it might taste weird. But, i guess you don't know until you try.
Things I have accomplished consist of having the right pots and pans and right things to make the meal. Another thing I accomplished is making sure I have the right food for the meal, like all the ingredients. 
One thing I want to accomplish during 20 time is looking at a lot of recipes and seeing if I'm capable of making the meals correctly.

  1. Lauren: Interesting stuff. I'm wondering, are you coming at this more looking at dietary restrictions (Gluten free, veg, lower calorie)? Or cooking new foods for enjoyment? Cassie Calkins and Emily Sass are learning how to cook ethnic foods. I don't know if that is what you're going for though. Just a thought!
